A savvy financial professional whose background includes experience in a variety of industries, Chief Financial Officer, George "Chip" Franzak, Jr., CPA, oversees NBN's complex financial and accounting functions. Chip and his staff have established strong, respected ties with our accounts and vendors, thereby assuring our publisher clients peace of mind because they know that an aggressive and accurate financial system is in place on their behalf.

Ian Wordsworth – Head of IT/Operations
Ian came to the book industry in February 1989 from the retail sector where he worked for House Of Fraser as Computer Manager for the southern division. Ian oversaw the implementation of the new back office system at NBNi in 2002 & since then has been working on the eradication of non-core systems so that all processes are handled by our main system. Ian’s role at NBNi has evolved over time to take in an operational overview as well an IT focus and as such he is able, working alongside Sheila Bounford, to strategically place NBNi at the forefront of new developments in the industry.

Sheila Bounford – Head of New Business Development
Before coming to NBNi in October 2004, Sheila was executive director of the IPG & her previous experience in this role means that she has a thorough understanding of publishers’ requirements from their distributors. Since coming to NBNi she has successful led the building up of NBNi’s client publisher base. As well as focussing on new business, Sheila also devotes much attention to future business strategy and plays a key role in defining the company profile .

Tracey Lovell – Credit control Team leader
Tracey joined the company in October 1994 and now leads the credit control department. She attends monthly meetings of the Publishers Credit Group in London. Attendance at these meeting gives NBNi a wider view of the credit issues facing publishers, and confirms NBNi’s view that our credit control perform to an excellent standard.

Jon Matthews – Customer Services & Order Processing Manager
Jon has been with NBNi since January 2009 and came to NBNi from an award-winning call centre at Direct Wines. Although initially inexperienced in the publishing industry, attendance at conferences and bookfairs throughout his first six months with NBNi has provided a solid grounding and his perception of the importance of the customer experience has brought invaluable focus to the customer facing teams at NBNi.

Laurence Schreiber – Warehouse Manager
Laurence joined NBNi in April 2008 and was previously Operations Manager at Portfolio Books. Shortly after Portfolio outsourced their distribution to NBNi, Laurence joined the team at NBNi. He has worked in a variety of warehouse environments and is an industry professional with many years of experience to inform his work with NBNi.

Juliette Teague - Publisher Services Manager
Before joining NBNi in September 1994, Juliette worked for Waterstones. Her retail experience coupled with her long service means that she is well versed in the day-to-day and long-term requirements and expectations of the client base, understanding how vital the personal link between publishers and distribution service is. Juliette’s role involves the management of the moving-in period for new clients, as well as providing a key account function.

Tony Woodley - Finance / Credit & Collections Manager
Tony joined the company in June 1995. Tony holds overall responsibility for cash collection and credit control and is a highly experienced financial manager. He oversees the purchase ledgers for both suppliers and publishers and the credit control team report into him on a daily basis. He is responsible for financial reporting to the USA, and preparation and monitoring of budget, publisher payments and commission income.

Jane Cutler – HR Manager
Jane came to NBNi in August 1993. Since then, she has held a variety of roles, from Operations Services Manager, to Systems Specialist and has worked with local FE colleges to introduce NVQ & other vocational training schemes. Expanding on her success in these areas, Jane is now our HR Manager & her experience at many disciplines across the business inform the company’s training and HR needs.
